Carl Larsson

  /    /  Carl Larsson

Painter, illustrator and life artist

Carl Larsson came out of a simple home. He grew up in Stockholm and at the age of thirteen, his teacher asked him to apply as a student to the Academy of Art, which he did. To earn his living during his studies, Carl worked as a retouchist, illustrator and graphic artist. After his years at the Academy of Fine Arts, Carl Larsson traveled to Paris to paint and get recognition for his art. It was a poor and tough time, with many reimbursements but also nice fellowship with other artists in the same situation. Meanwhile in France, Carl met his Karin and around that time his career began to take off. Carl Larsson has made himself known as a watercolor artist with idyllic motifs of interiors and family in their home Sundborn in Dalarna.

Through collaboration with Gården Sundborn, Everstyle can print Carl Larsson’s popular motifs on tiles and tiles.
