Stig Lindberg’s classic patterns on tiles / clinker
Everstyle AB and Lars Dueholm-Lindberg, VILASTIL Design & Production HB have entered into an agreement regarding the production of some 15 designs by Stig Lindberg on tiles and clinker. More patterns will be added to the agreement gradually.
Stig Lindberg was one of Sweden’s greatest designers of all time, who through his experimental lust and unique talent was leading the way in the interior of “the Swedish people’s home” since 1937.
Stig Lindberg’s classic and playful design is abundant in today’s interiors and auctions. Porcelain and textiles have become valuable collectors’ items representing a Swedish era, which many miss and others wish they had experienced; the 40s, 50s, and 60s. Nostalgia or new thinking? Both in fact!
Now we can decorate today’s folk homes, hipster housing, sophisticated condominium, villa or public environment, with Stig Lindberg’s designs reproduced in brand new manners, on tiles and clinker, where for example the pattern Berså can turn into a large forest in a bathroom, stairwell or on a facade.
Stig Lindberg of today is represented by Everstyle® Art and Image Tiles for interior and exterior use. The well-known patterns gain new and get completely new dimensions through tailor-made production for the building and furnishing market. The patterns are modified and adapted to each project, which gives unique opportunities to “innovate” hitherto unpublished constellations of the designs – and in some cases even new colors!
This year, Umeå born Stig Lindberg would have turned 100 years old and he is celebrated in many places; Gustavsberg, Gothenburg and Umeå, among others. An exhibition is planned to take place in Japan at the end of the year.
Everstyle is currently working on preparations and production of, among other things, the Berså pattern on tiles / clinker which will be included in exhibitions to represent Stig Lindberg of today.
